PM TERRA-TEC
Drainage membrane
PM TERRA-TEC is the new champion among protection and drainage systems and thus the best solution for horizontal as well as vertical surface drainage on all pressure-resistant substrates.
PM TERRA-TEC consists of an innovative dimpled membrane with specially reinforced and trowalised dimples for extra-high drainage capacity and extreme compressive strength.
The extra large number of dimples and a smooth reverse side ensure the best load distribution and perfect protection on the waterproofing. In addition, there is a new type of overlap system based on the push-button principle. This is easy to apply and completely weather-independent. The laminated high-quality, particularly stable geotextile rounds off the range of product advantages perfectly. This two-layer system reliably protects the underlying waterproofing against mechanical damage, but also against damaging thermal stress.
PM TERRA-TEC has an extreme compressive strength of approx. 500 kN/m². The product is available in seven widths from 0.50 to 2.50 m. The optimal water drainage capacity is many times higher than required by the drainage standard DIN 4095.
PM TERRA-TEC protects cut-and-cover tunnels, soldier pile walls and bridge abutments safely against waterlogging in accordance with the bast Guideline Drawing WAS 7.
Cut & cover tunnels are not constructed in the classic way by blasting or with a tunnel boring machine. Cut-and-cover tunnels are used with a low overburden and are sealed from the outside like conventional structures. The installation of PM TERRA-TEC is then carried out to protect the sealing and to avoid backwater.
Bridge abutments support the ends of the bridge superstructure and transfer vertical and horizontal forces into the ground. A drainage layer on the rear side is indispensable, as possible water pressure can impair the stability of the bridge abutment. The bast prescribes the use of high-performance drainage layers. PM TERRA-TEC is a perfect solution here as well, safely dissipating the water pressure on the rear side.
Shoring with soldier pile walls is one of the most common forms of excavation support. The Berlin shoring has a high proportion of joints compared to the existing soil. Efficient drainage layers prevent silting. PM TERRA-TEC is ideally suited as a high-performance drainage system for soldier pile walls, with the geotextile pointing in the direction of the shoring when it is laid. The drainage sheet is then embedded in concrete.
